Registration & Kit Collection

All riders are required to register for the ride. All riders who register on or before 31 August 2020 will have their registration details, timing chip (if applicable) and any merchandise ordered delivered by mail.

All those riders registering after 31 August 2020 will need to collect their registration pack on Saturday 17th October 1– 4pm or Sunday 18th October 5:00am – 7:00am at the event village (Eridge Park- Eridge Park Rd, Burradoo)

Event Village Parking

Parking is available near the Event Village for riders who want easy access to their vehicles at the end of the ride.

Chevalier College
Enter the College from Moss Vale Road opposite Riversdale Ave. Parking areas will be signposted.

Rider Front Plates

Your rider front plate will be included in your registration kit. The front plate clearly displays your Identification Number. This front plate will include your timing chip (excludes 35km Social course).

If driving, please do not put the front plate on your bike before arriving in Bowral. Going along the freeway at 110km/h is not advised for the front plates.

Secure your front plate to the front of your bike with the cable ties enclosed in your registration kit. Without it you will not have access to the start/finish areas or
course support. Your personal details are recorded with this number and it will be used for identification if medical attention is required.

It is compulsory this is attached to your bike during the event. It is forbidden to alter, cut or fold your front plate.

Start Times

The ride starts will be staggered and will be from Bong Bong St, Bowral. Maps of the exact starting location and procedure will be sent to each individual rider.

The first lot of 160km Maxi Classic riders will be sent off from 6.30am.
The first lot of 125km Challenge Classic riders will be sent off from 7.00am
The first lot of 90km Rouleurs Classic riders will be sent off from 7.30am
The first lot of 35km Social Classic riders will be sent off from 7.45am

Further details, including riders wave start times, will be sent prior to the event.

*Please show up on time and ready to ride at your designated time. Please allow plenty of time to spare – the area will be congested as Bong Bong Street will be closed.
*Riders MUST leave with their allotted distance – for example 125km riders MUST NOT depart with the 160km riders and visa versa.
*There are toilets on the start line.
*Find your start group marshalling area along Boolwey Street. You will then be marshalled into your wave start time.
*Please remember that this is NOT a race. If you miss your start time there is no problem so long as it is within your distance group.
*If you show up early you can slot into a group of 75 and depart with an earlier wave.
*If you show up late you can slot into a group of 75 and depart with a later wave.
*If your team mates signed up at a different speed to you and you want to ride with them you can slot into their wave of 75
*Most importantly, have fun!

Safety Briefing

Please take the time to watch the Safety Briefing for your course distance. Each video outlines important safety information and course warnings from our Ride Director. It is imperative that all riders have viewed and understood the course videos prior to the event day.

Mechanical Support

Mechanical support will be provided at the start line. There will be mobile support stations at each of the three rest stops.

First Aid & Emergency

The event will be covered by First Aid specialists, State Medical Assistance. First aid will be at the ride start and stationed at each of the three rest stops. There will also be First Aid vehicles on course.

Merchandise

Merchandise will be on sale at the event village on Saturday and Sunday. To view the merchandise, please click here.

Insurance

Insurance is compulsory. During the registration process, you will be asked to note your current insurance cover and insurance number. Your current insurance will need to cover you for the Bowral Classic day event. If you do not have the appropriate insurance, you will be asked to take out day insurance, Personal Accident Cover.
